Curley Visits Lake Mokoma

Curley Visits Lake Mokoma is a story of summer adventures: swimming in the lake, playing on the beach, fishing, picking blueberries, making daisy crowns, visiting Worlds End, and learning about wildlife, botany, history, and geology.

Lake Mokoma and the surrounding Mokoma Conservancy are special places that hold so many memories for those who spend time here. I wanted to capture some of the magic in a tangible form, a book that might become an heirloom in all the cottages around the lake. I photographed the images over several years, and my grandchildren contributed to the text.

The book is a 40-page, full-color hardback, limited edition of 100 copies. All the proceeds from the sale of the books will be divided equally between Lake Mokoma Association for the pavilion to be constructed at the beach and Mokoma Conservancy for trail building in the Elklick Run Wilderness Area.

The cost is $40, including shipping. Payment can be made via PayPal (judithodell86@gmail.com) or Venmo (Judith-Odell-4) or by check to PO Box 153 Laporte, PA 18626.
